Konstantinos Potiris is a Pulmonologist with many years of scientific, administrative and social contribution in the field of health. With more than four decades of professional experience, he has served both in the National Health System and in the private sector, while at the same time he has developed significant political and social action, contributing substantially to the development of mental health services, public administration and the promotion of social solidarity. During his professional career, he served as Director of Pulmonology at the Athens General Hospital "Sismanogleio", where he exercised high-responsible duties, participating in both the clinical and administrative work of the hospital. At the same time, he served as an advisor to the Ministry of Justice on issues of healthcare in the penitentiary system, providing specialized consulting services for the improvement of health services in detention facilities. Previously, he practiced private medicine for a number of years as a pulmonologist, while he began his professional career as a physician at the General Hospital of Corinth and then at the "Sismanoglio" Hospital. His academic training includes a Medical Degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a specialization in Pulmonology at the "Sismanoglio" General Hospital. Throughout his medical career, he actively participated in numerous scientific conferences and educational activities in Greece and abroad, maintaining a constant scientific presence and information. In parallel with his medical activity, he developed a significant political presence, being elected Member of Parliament for Corinth in the period 1989–1993. During his parliamentary term, he served as Chairman of the Cultural Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Greek-Australian and Greek-Chinese Friendship Cross-Party Committees, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health Issues of the Parliament. Since 2012, he has continued his public presence as Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat of Former Members of Parliament, MEPs and Politicians, while he is a founding member and President of the “Free Political Step” Association. His social and voluntary contribution in the field of mental health is particularly important. Since 2006, he has been the founder and President of the organization “EVANGELISMOS A.M.K.E.”, contributing decisively to the development and operation of psychosocial rehabilitation units, such as boarding schools and sheltered apartments, and actively participating in the implementation of the Psychiatric Reform of the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, in 2016 he founded the Social Cooperative Enterprise “Oi Melisses”, with the aim of promoting social entrepreneurship and the social inclusion of vulnerable groups. His long-standing involvement in the community also includes his participation in organizations that promote local development and culture. He was a founding member and first President of the Society for the Protection and Development of the Gulf of Corinth, while he actively participated in the “Apostolos Pavlos” Association, strengthening the relations of the Corinthians with the Greek-speaking populations of Southern Italy. His many years of experience in medicine, administration, politics and social contribution, combined with his long-standing contribution to the development of mental health services and public health in Greece, make him a personality with a significant contribution in the field of health, public administration and social solidarity.
Vice president
Evelina Potiri is a health services administrator with many years of experience in the administration of mental health units, strategic planning, human resources management and financial management of health organizations. She has a strong background in public administration, the organization and development of health structures, as well as in the formulation of political and operational plans, with particular specialization in the field of mental health and medical tourism. Since 2019, she has held the position of Administrative Director and General Manager at a Mental Health Boarding School of the organization "EVANGELISMOS A.M.K.E.", while also acting as Secretary of the Board of Directors. She is responsible for the overall administrative, operational and financial operation of the unit, the planning and monitoring of human resources, ensuring the implementation of legislation and international quality standards, as well as for the preparation of operational plans, annual budgets and activity reports to the Ministry of Health. At the same time, she coordinates quality improvement actions, staff training programs and emergency and crisis response plans. During her previous professional career, from 2011 to 2018, she worked as an Administrative Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the same organization, undertaking a wide range of responsibilities that included administrative support, financial management, procurement and inventory management, cooperation with public organizations, funding management, submission of files for new mental health units, as well as the development of the organization's communication and promotion strategy. At the same time, she actively participated in the formation of development initiatives and the creation of new structures and collaborations in the field of mental health. Her academic training includes two postgraduate degrees: in Public Administration and Policy from the Athens University of Economics and Business and in Health Services Administration from the University of West Attica (formerly the National School of Public Health). She is also a graduate of the Department of Economics of the Athens University of Economics and Business. Her postgraduate theses focused on the development of economic models for health units and the prospects for the development of medical tourism in Greece. She is a graduate of the class of '10, of Athens College. She has significant research and scientific activity, having participated as a speaker and researcher in Greek and international conferences in the fields of health services administration, medical tourism, public policy and mental health. She has presented scientific papers on medical tourism in Greece and systematically participates in conferences and educational programs concerning health policies, the administration of health units and the improvement of the quality of the services provided. At the same time, she has developed intense social and organizational activity. She has been a scientific associate in the health sector of a political body, with the purpose of supporting parliamentary work, formulating health policy proposals, organizing scientific events and monitoring the operation of structures of the National Health System. In addition, she has served on organizational and financial committees, while she is a founding member and President of the Institute of Youth Studies and Research "KOITA" and a member of the Institute of Nursing Research and Health Policy (INEPY). She has excellent knowledge of English and very good knowledge of French, high familiarity with modern information and statistical tools, such as Microsoft Office, SPSS and EViews, as well as a Class 2 Accountant-Tax Technician license. Spyridon Potiris is a strategy and management executive in the healthcare sector with more than fifteen years of international professional experience. He specializes in the strategic development of healthcare organizations, digital transformation, business process improvement and complex project management, with a particular emphasis on oncology. He has significant experience in developing international collaborations between academic institutions, public organizations and private healthcare providers, as well as in managing organizational changes in complex environments. Since 2022, he has held the position of Senior Manager, International Strategic Initiatives at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where he is responsible for the design and development of international strategic collaborations, the provision of consulting services in the field of oncology and the development of new services and business initiatives in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean. At the same time, he contributes to the development of the international oncology patient program and the assessment of healthcare markets at an international level. Previously, he served as Manager, Information Services Strategic Initiatives at the same institution, where he designed and implemented strategic digital transformation initiatives, developed project governance models, established business indicator monitoring systems and collaborated closely with senior management to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. In the period 2017–2021, he worked as Program Manager, Epic Operations, taking on the management of the Electronic Health Record (EHR), coordinating multidisciplinary teams, improving patient safety and implementing performance indicators and educational programs. He was previously a Senior Analyst, Process Improvement, where he utilized business research tools, Lean and Six Sigma to improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare services. His professional career began in Greece as a Financial Administrator at the organization "EVANGELISMOS" AMKE Mental Health, with the objective of financial management and the development of mental health actions. In parallel with his professional activity, he has developed a strong administrative and social presence. He was a consultant and head of the health sector at Simera Human Capital, while since 2014 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of EVANGELISMOS AMKE Mental Health, contributing to strategic planning, the development of partnerships and the finding of resources. In the past, he was a co-founder of the Political Deliberation Student Club and Vice President of External Relations of AIESEC at the Athens University of Economics and Business. His academic background includes a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Harvard University with a specialization in the administration and leadership of public health organizations, a Master of Science in Industrial and Operational Engineering from the University of Michigan with a specialization in health services engineering and patient safety, and a degree in Administrative Science and Technology from the Athens University of Economics. He is a graduate of the class of '7, Athens College. His research work focuses on improving health services through operations research, simulation and data analysis. He has participated in research projects to optimize the operation of oncology units and reduce patient waiting times, while he is the author of scientific publications in international journals and has presented his work at leading international conferences in the fields of oncology, operations research and health systems improvement. He has been awarded the Pillars of Excellence Award from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the First Prize in Operations Research from the University of Michigan.
